Welcome to my website and thank you for being here.

I am an italian veterinarian based in Vancouver BC with a passion for art and animals. I used to draw animals and pets since I was a kid and started taking this passion more seriously only a few years ago.

I started my career as an artist with digital art by painting horses and animals with my graphic tablet and Photoshop before realizing that the feeling of a sheet of paper and a pencil in your hand cannot be reproduced by any software, therefore....Here I am.

As many other people approaching traditional art, I started my journey with coloured pencils and then discovered pastels, which are my current medium for portraits, together with graphite for black and white drawings.

For now, all my drawings are made using pastel pencils or graphite but, since I really like to experiment new things, it is not excluded that I will try other techniques in the near future (I have recently started working with watercolours as well, but this is still a work in progress for now :)).

Concerning my art supplies, I only work with high quality materials, to make sure that every portrait will last over the years maintaining its original vibrancy. 

My pastel pencils belong to some of the most known brands in the world of art supplies, such as Stabilo Carbothello, Faber-Castell Pitt, Caran d'Ache and Derwent. The paper of choice for pastel portraits is Pastelmat.

As for black and white drawings, I use Caran d'Ache Grafwood and Faber-Castell pencils on Bristol board smooth.
